Introduction

The Iris Scanner may occasionally fail to scan an iris. This troubleshooting guide will help you fix this issue.

  1. The iris scanner can operate both indoors and outdoors. However, strong sunlight will be detrimental to the image quality! The use of the plastic goggle is recommended in order to achieve the appropriate lighting conditions for the optimum image resolution.

  2. The scanner may fail to recognise an iris when: The upper eyelid and eyelashes cover most of the iris pattern. To solve this, ask the user to keep his/her eye wide open so that most of the iris pattern is visible in the image.
